September 26, 6:30am (EST): They're BACK! They're on there way back to Alabama. Had lots of fun and plenty of stories to tell. Al got into another random security check (it happens about every time he goes to the airport). Apparently he looks pretty suspicious!
September 25, 8:00am (EST): In Johannesberg worshiping this morning and met with missionaries from around Africa. Shopped and are getting ready to head to the airport!
September 24, 3:48pm (EST): Worshiped with Basotho in the morning. They prepared lunch and it was goooood (their words, not mine!). Traveled to Johannesburg. Worshiping in the morning then shopping in Brunswick. Boarding the plane at 8pm (1pm Alabama time). Arrive in Atlanta Monday at 6:30am. Everyone is tired by good. Many things to tell!
September 23, 9:31am (EST): Went to a school today. Was career day and heritage day. They gave a basotho heritage program. Got great photos but still can't send them. Last night of the crusade. Many souls born again and lives changed. Everyone is good and no sickness! Had pizza for lunch!
September 22, 9:26am (EST): Went to the disabled children's school. Gave gifts and talked with them and got some to laugh. It was a lot of fun. Mark and Rebecca gave out candy (pompom in their language) to people in the streets. Eddie will be preaching tonight. Sandra and Duronda will give their testimony. People are precious and love to see us. Pray for their services.
September 21, 9:41am (EST): Good day at Clarendon and on the boat ride. Shopped and saw a white lion. Al preaches tonight and Rebecca and Eddie give their testimony. Everyone is feeling good. Weather is cool at night but warm during the day. Still trying to find some way to upload photos. No WiFi at restaurants or anywhere so far.
September 20, 4:51pm (EST): Had a long day today. Didn't get home until 10! Going to Clarendon and boat ride tomorrow. Good time at schools and door to door crusade.
September 20, 7:36am (EST): Good day. Left at 5:30 to visit the school. Kids were great. Then went door-to-door. Lunch was ham and cheese toast with chips. The crusade last night was wonderful. Mark, Rebecca and Sandra were great. Eddie preaches tonight. Still can't send photos.
September 19, 9:10am (EST): In Mamafubada. Went door-to-door and saw souls born again! Tent is going up for service tonight. Having to learn a new area. Also, the team has been unable to send photos through their network which is why I haven't been able to post them. If they send any, I'll post them!
September 18, 2:10pm (EST): Dinner was Lamb, beets, spinach, pumpkin, rice, gravy and banana bread. Food is good. Rebecca is enjoying the food! So funny. Mark preaches Monday and Rebecca and Sandra will give their testimony.
September 18, 10:58am (EST): Great service today. Good time with the kids. No service tonight. Went for a walk to the lake. Thanks for prayers. Go to Mamafubadu tomorrow.
September 18, 3:14am (EST): Good morning from South Africa! Everyone is great! Bacon, French Toast, Beans, Yogurt, Cereal, Fruit Juices and fish sticks for breakfast. Ready for Worship! Pray for them!
September 17, 2:44pm (EST): Brii was so good! Hans cooked lamb chops, sausages and steak! Also had salad, stuffed mushrooms and ice cream too! Now headed to the rooms for some rest.
September 17, 1:07pm (EST): Fun day shopping and sightseeing. Good service tonight. Eddie preached. Rebecca got surprises for her family. Sandra and Mark are ready with material for mission press stations. Eddie bought himself something. Ready to go eat brii. Hans is cooking. Will be good!
September 16, 10:49pm (EST): It's 3am there. Al and Duronda can't sleep. Rebecca is having a blast and taking lots of pictures. Mark is spotting all the animals. Sandra can't get used to being on the wrong side of the road! Thankfully, she's riding and not driving! Eddie is being good. Had carrot cake for dinner. Also had Ostrich meatball and Quiche! They said it was GOOOOOD! Saturday morning, they will be shopping in Bethlehem. At 4pm they will be worshiping with Open Bible church. Then Hans is cooking for them at Petronella House, so they are looking forward to that!
September 16, 12:26pm (EST): At Petronella House. Will try and send pics from the day.
September 15, 12:30pm (EST): They have landed in South Africa safely and all is well. Don't have any more news as they are traveling to the village, but once I get more information, I'll post it!
September 14: 8:56pm (EST): They up, up and awaaaaayyyyy! The crew flew out around 7pm from Atlanta and are on their loooonnnng flight to South Africa (around 16 hours!). Duronda has sent some airport photos, so I'll have them up shortly. I'll be doing things a bit different this time. I'll post the most current news on top of this page so you don't have to scroll through all the old stuff you have already read! Keep praying that their flight is smooth and uneventful and I'll keep posting news at it comes!
