INTRODUCING OUR ASSOCIATION STAFF
 Director of Missions
Dr. Al Hood is the Director of Missions for the Winston Baptist Association. He is a native of Jasper, in Walker County Alabama. He graduated from
Walker
County
High School,
Walker
Junior College, the
University of
Alabama {BA}, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary {MDiv}, and Luther Rice University {DMin}.
He has pastored churches since 1981. Before coming to our association, he had been pastor of churches in
Walker
County and Cullman County Alabama as well as Andrews,
North Carolina. Bro. Al came to our association in August, 2000.
He has been married to the former Duronda Barton since 1972. They have two grown daughters, Cristie Turner [Mrs. Rob Turner] and Beth Grove [Mrs. Bill Grove]. They also have six grandchildren (Will, Lauren, Allison, MacKenzie, Sarah, and Robert).
 Secretary
Duronda Hood is the secretary for the Winston Baptist Association. She is the former Duronda Barton from
Cordova, Alabama. She is married to the Director of Missions and has been the secretary since August 2000. She graduated from
Cordova
High School and from the Wallace State Junior College of Nursing in
Hanceville, Alabama.
Although she is employed part-time, she is a vital part of the ministry in the Winston Baptist Association. She serves as Vacation Bible School Director and clerk for the association. She is also an EMT for the State Sunday School department specializing in Preschool Ministry and has served on the State Vacation Bible School training team several times as well.
